Features may include company registration, product records, identifier management, QR/barcode display, public verification pages and related tools. Available features are those displayed on the website.
2. Independent service; no false affiliation
Unless separately documented in writing, 91iD™ is an independent service and is not GS1, GS1 India, a government department, statutory authority or government-approved national barcode programme. No affiliation, endorsement or authorisation should be inferred.
3. Accounts and information
Users must provide accurate information, protect account credentials and only operate accounts they are authorised to use.
4. Identifiers and verification
Identifiers are managed under 91iD’s own rules. A lookup confirms only what the system’s records and checks support. It does not by itself establish product safety, regulatory approval, manufacturing origin, trademark ownership, physical authenticity or acceptance by a retailer or marketplace.
5. User content
You confirm that you have authority to submit company names, marks, product details and images. You grant the operator a limited licence to host, process and display content as necessary to provide the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
6. Fees and renewals
Fees, taxes, free allocations, service periods, maintenance charges and renewal terms are those clearly shown on the relevant plan, invoice or checkout page. No charge should be made without an appropriate disclosed basis.
7. Suspension and service changes
Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risks, unlawful content, non-payment or violation of these Terms. We aim to provide notice where reasonably practicable. Service availability and third-party compatibility are not guaranteed.
8. Prohibited use
Do not submit false registrations, impersonate a brand owner or authority, infringe rights, upload unlawful or misleading content, disrupt systems, bypass security controls or misuse personal data.
9. Liability and statutory rights
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an as-available basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
10. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, mandatory consumer remedies, statutory forums and jurisdiction rules, parties may approach courts of competent jurisdiction at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This clause does not confer jurisdiction on a court that would otherwise lack it or remove a non-waivable right to approach a legally competent forum.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version. Contact: legal at 91id.in.
12. Nature and scope of the service
91iD™ provides a privately operated system for product identification, record organisation and lookup based on information held in its own service. Features may change as development progresses. A feature is available only when it is actually enabled and described on the website or in the relevant account interface. We do not promise that every identifier will be accepted by every retailer, marketplace, logistics provider, payment provider, standards organisation or public authority.
13. Registrant authority and disputes
A person submitting a company or product record confirms that they are authorised to act for the relevant business or have permission to provide the information. Registration is not a legal determination of ownership of a company name, trademark, domain, design, product formulation or other right. If a credible dispute arises, we may request documents, temporarily flag the record, limit editing or take another proportionate step while the issue is reviewed. We may not be able to resolve disputes about underlying ownership and may direct parties to the appropriate legal process.
14. Availability, changes and backups
We aim to operate the service responsibly but do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent availability of every feature or compatibility with every device or scanner. Maintenance, security incidents, third-party failures, network conditions and legal requirements may affect access. Users should retain copies of important business records and should not treat a public webpage as their sole archival copy.
15. Fair enforcement and statutory rights
Where reasonably practicable, we may explain the reason for a restriction and provide a channel for review. Urgent restrictions may be applied first where necessary to protect users, records, systems or legal compliance. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any right that cannot legally be waived, restrict a complaint to a competent authority or exclude mandatory consumer protection.
